Survival-evolution simulator game for PC

Lifecraft is a premium simulation game for PC from developer Pixbits. It is a sci-fi-themed survival simulator with oddly charming visuals wherein players will take on the role of a single-celled organism. They are tasked with surviving harsh conditions by absorbing the various resources available in their surroundings and evolving in the process.

Similar to Against the Storm or Dwarf Fortress, Lifecraft also incorporates management mechanics in its game as cells evolve into more complex organisms needing various systems to live and operate properly. This one’s a fun automation game with a biology twist.

Survive and evolve

In Lifecraft, you begin life as a simple cell and you need to survive by assimilating resources around you. Things go about simply enough at the start, but as you consume and grow, evolving into a more complex organism will be the logical step in your journey. However, with all the benefits that evolution brings, comes some drawbacks or additional difficulties to your existence.

The need to establish subsystems to support your more intricate bodily functions becomes crucial, including a way to store and manage the energy needed to power everything inside and out. Over time, you will need to extend your walls to make room for more systems in place. From there, things just become more complicated, from waste disposal to blood and oxygen circulation, and everything else in between.

As if the whole ordeal wasn't hard enough, you also have to be wary of foreign dangers in the form of viruses, bacteria, and parasites that can get in and make a mess of everything. Develop a powerful immune system to combat them. This game is educational and offers an immersive and engaging experience for those who want to learn more about cell structure and functions.

Deceptively simple

Lifecraft is one of those deceptively simple sim games that evolve (pun intended) into something much more complex than what it is. If that sounds compelling and interesting to you, then be sure to download and play this game. However, some users have reported sound issues but other than that it's one of the more intriguing titles in the genre right now.
